Power In Partnerships Youth Hub Secures Additional Funding to Empower Runcorn’s Young People with Cutting-Edge Technology
Power In Partnerships (PIP) is thrilled to announce a major milestone in the development of its new youth hub at 57–59 High Street, as construction continues on schedule with completion expected by the end of 2025. The hub, known as Youthy.com, is set to become a vibrant, inclusive space designed to support and inspire young people across Runcorn.
In a significant boost to the project, PIP has secured additional grant funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and VOLA, enabling the integration of state-of-the-art digital infrastructure throughout the hub. With new desktop computers, monitors and strong WIFI connectivity in the building. This investment will transform the way young people engage with learning, creativity, and community activities.
Claire Bradbury, CEO of Power In Partnerships, shared her excitement:
“PIP has long faced challenges in accessing high-quality digital resources. This new funding is a game-changer. It gives our young people access to the best technology available, supporting their education, homework clubs, and digital skills development. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity to invest in their futures.”
The youth hub will feature dynamic learning spaces, a Winter Garden, a fully equipped kitchen for cooking classes, and now, thanks to the new funding, cutting-edge tech facilities that will support digital literacy, functional skills, and creative media projects.
Earlier this year, two young people from PIP began apprenticeships with Warden Construction, gaining hands-on experience as part of the build. Their involvement reflects PIP’s commitment to empowering youth through real-world opportunities and skills development.
This development is one of the project strands part of the Creative and Digital Skills centre as part of the Reconnecting Runcorn Programme that was awarded £23.6m as part of the UK Government’s Town Deal funding in 2021. Youthy.com along with Hazlehurst Studios and the development of 63-65 High Street, housing Makeocreate and A Place for Us are bringing creativity and digital skills to the forefront of Runcorn’s high street making it more accessible and improving the opportunities for locals to develop their skills and creative passions right on their doorstep.
As the opening of Youthy.com draws closer, the future looks brighter than ever for Runcorn’s young people, who will soon have a safe, inspiring space to learn, grow, and thrive.

Reconnecting Runcorn was awarded £23.6m in 2021 from the UK Government’s Towns Fund as part of the Town Deals Programme to deliver the Runcorn Town Investment Plan. This funding enabled the development of eight projects incorporating 15 strands that collectively will enhance local connections through improved training and economic opportunities, enhanced transport links, housing and environmental improvements, and upgraded visitor attractions.
